This may be the place where my friend Randy will start his life with his new bride in only a few months! I do wish them a happy and wonderful life together. I hope Randy will be able to continue to afford a house of this quality in light of the current economic downturn.

Randy and Tina appear happy together as they walk together as they walk from the boat to the beach at the Pearl Farm Resort on the Philippine island of Samal which is located thirty minutes by boat from Davao City, Mindanao Philippines.

Here we see Tina with a smile and her natural friendly, curious nature on display for all who care to notice.

Randy and Tina ride a jet ski for the first time together. It is also the first time either of them have used such a personal watercraft. I think they had fun.

Tina In A Tree!

Randy’s friend Christina climbs a tree to pick some fresh fruit. The lansonnes look nice. I believe Tina is a happy girl and Randy likes her very much. Running away from home is not for everyone but it has worked for me. I suspect that Randy believe it is working for him also.

The Rogers Family of Fort Branch Indiana

The Rogers family traveled from their home in Fort Branch, Indiana to spend the day with us at the festival and to watch the parade with us. Cherry and Maria watched the parade from near my home and the entrance to the Oblong park. They received many pounds of candy which was thrown from the parade participants as they passed our location.

Maria was very kind and came to me often offering candy tor me. It is a pleasure to spend time with my friends. I had the pleasure of introducing them to my grandson James Wilson as well as other friends around our village. I hope they found the town friendly and will come back soon to visit.

Seeing the joy on her face as she walked around our small town enjoying the events was very nice! She was trying to think of a name for the new baby.

Oblong Illinois Fall Festival – Friday 27, October 2007

Fall Festival in Oblong Illinois is here again. The Fall Festival is the largest annual night time parade in the state of Illinois. It has marching bands and floats and this year it had nearly two hundred groups entered in the parade.

I was happy to have friends with me this year to enjoy the festival and later the parade. Randy Gibler of Oblong was here and the Rogers family; Gordon, Cherry and their daughter Maria from Fort Branch Indiana spent the day in Oblong at the event with us.

I have some pictures of Randy as he bought flowers and put them in his hair.
